- 1 lb sirloin steak (455 g), cut into 1-inch (2 1/2 cm) chunks
- 2 cups asparagus (250 g), cut into 1-inch (2 1/2 cm) pieces
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 3 tablespoons canola oil

Preparation
- Skewer 3-4 pieces of steak and asparagus in an alternating pattern on a bamboo skewer.
- Repeat with remaining steak and asparagus.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
