Refreshing Mango Lassi

Mango lassi is a refreshing and creamy yogurt-based drink that originates from India. Ingredients

for 2 servings

  • 10 cardamom pods, deseeded (or 1 teaspoon ground cardamom)
  • 2 ripe mangoes, diced (or 1 ⅓ cup mango pulp)
  • ¾ cup plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 5 ice cubes, optional
  • chopped pistachio, for garnish
  • whipped cream, for garnish

Preparation

  1. Remove the cardamom seeds from the pods and crush into a powder with a mortar and pestle.
  2. In a blender, combine the ice, chopped mangoes or mango pulp, yogurt, milk, and ground cardamom. Blend until smooth. Adjust the sweetness and thickness according to your preference.
  3. Pour the lassi into glasses and garnish with whipped cream and pistachios.
  4. Enjoy!
