Ingredients
for 10 servings
- 2 ½ cups penne pasta (500 g)
- 2 cups tomato sauce (500 g)
- 1 lb ground beef (450 g)
- ½ lb mushroom (225 g), sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 ½ teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried bay leaf
- 1 cup onion (150 g), chopped
- salt
- pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese (50 g)
- butter
- baguette

Preparation
- Boil water with oil and salt. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions. Once done, set aside.
- In a medium saute pan, thoroughly cook the ground beef. Once cooked, add onions and cook until translucent.
- To the pan, add garlic and mushrooms and stir until mushrooms soften. Once softened, add tomato sauce and dried herb seasonings.
- Once simmering, add garlic powder and grated Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.
- Slice bread, evenly spread with butter and toast well in a skillet. Once done, mix pasta with prepared sauce and top bread slices with pasta mixture.
- Sprinkle with fresh shredded Parmesan cheese to taste, broil lightly, and serve.
