Ingredients
for 2 servings
- 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 2 tablespoons semolina
- ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
- ¼ cup milk (60 mL)
- 1 cup oil (240 mL), any kind

Preparation
- Mix the wheat flour, sugar, semolina, mashed banana, and milk in a bowl.
- Sprinkle the fennel seeds into the batter.
- Warm the oil in a frying pan. Scoop out the batter and place the batter in the hot oil in any shape you desire. Fry it till golden brown.
- Once both sides are cooked, take them out and place them on a plate. You can also line the plate with a paper towel.
- Fry the rest of the malpoas in the same way and stack them on the plate together.
- Let them cool for a few minutes, then serve.
