- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 8-ounce tri-tip steaks
- 1 tablespoon Grill Mates® Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 1 (12-ounce) package Hawaiian-style rolls
- 1 cup caramelized onions
- 6 slice of Provolone cheese

Preparation
- Grease the grill grates with neutral oil and preheat the grill to 350°F (180°C).
- Brush the olive oil over the steaks, then sprinkle with the Grill Mates® Montreal Steak Seasoning.
- Grill the steaks for 5 minutes per side, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of each steak reads 135°F (57°C). Remove the steaks from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing into ¼-inch-thick pieces.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls lengthwise. Arrange the steak pieces evenly over the bottom sheet of rolls. Add the caramelized onions on top of the steak. Lay shingled cheese slices on top. Cover with the top sheet of rolls and wrap with aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped sandwiches on the grill grates, close the lid, and grill for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Serve warm on a large platter, and enjoy!
