Cheesy Garlic Bread

Ingredients

for 4 servings

  • french baguette, sliced in half, 1 day old
  • ½ cup olive oil mayonnaise (120 mL), or similar
  • ½ cup shaved parmesan cheese (55 g)
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning, or something similar
  • 6 cloves fresh garlic, chopped and peeled
  • 1 tablespoon cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to a broil setting at 500° F.
  2. Line two different pieces of aluminum file in a large baking pan. Cut the baguette in half, then split
  3. the halves. Place each half on the two individual pieces of foil.
  4. Mix all the remaining ingredients in a small bowl to form a spread. Spread this on each half of the baguette..
  5. Wrap the baguette in foil halfway, so the top of the bread is exposed to heat.
  6. Place in the oven for about 2 minutes or just until the top cheese is melted and golden-brown.
  7. Cool for approximately 2 minutes before cutting the bread. Serve.
