for 1 baklava English muffin
Baklava English Muffin:
- ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
- ¼ cup pistachios, chopped
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) salted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 english muffin
Whipped Vanilla Cream:
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 ½ tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping:
- honey, for drizzling (optional)
Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Make the baklava English muffin: In a small bowl, mix together the walnuts, pistachios, melted butter, brown sugar, and honey with a spoon until well combined. Split open the English muffin and spread the nut mixture evenly on top of each English muffin half.
- Air fry for 3-5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, make the whipped vanilla cream: In a medium bowl, beat together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla with a hand mixer until soft peaks form.
- Remove the English muffin from the air fryer and serve warm with a dollop of whipped vanilla cream and a drizzle of honey.
