  • 1 english cucumber, plus more for garnish
  • 1 large thin-skinned lime, plus 1 lime wedge, plus more for garnish
  • 1 jalapeño, plus more for garnish
  • 4 oz silver tequila
  • 3 oz basil simple syrup
  • ice
  • Tajín, for garnish

Preparation

  1. In a blender, combine the cucumber, lime, jalapeño, tequila, and basil simple syrup. Blend on high speed until the lime is broken down and only small specks of green remain, 1–2 minutes.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Place the lid on the shaker, and shake for 20 seconds.
  3. Run a lime wedge along the rim of your glass, then dip the rim into Tajín. Fill the glass with ice, and pour the blended mixture into the glass.
  4. Garnish with additional jalapeño, lime slices, or cucumber!
