Orange Semifreddo
featured in 7 Fruity Recipes To End The Summer
Che bello! A classic Italian dessert that looks and sounds so sophisticated, and tastes like a creamsicle ice cream cake. We set ours in an orange peel for a zesty presentation and added orange liqueur for an extra kick. P.S. This content is intended solely for users of legal drinking age. Drink responsibly.

Preparation
- Cut the oranges in half and scoop out the fruit while keeping the skin intact as much as you can. Place the orange halves on a tray that can fit in your freezer face up so they look like cups. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk the icing sugar, mascarpone, cream, egg yolks, orange zest, vanilla extract and orange liquor together until the mixture is well-combined and some air has been incorporated. About 3 minutes.
- Using a cup with a spout or ladle, fill each orange half with the filling and freeze for at least one hour until solid.
- Soften for 15-30 minutes at room temperature before serving.
- Enjoy!
