- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 8 oz uncooked pasta, spaghetti
- 8 oz spicy italian sausage
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup pesto
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon sundried tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes
- 1 fresh herb sprig, such as basil or mint

Preparation
- Bring the water to a boil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the salt, then add the pasta. Cook per package instructions. Drain the pasta, and set aside.
- Heat a medium pot over medium-high heat. Add the sausage, and let 1 side sear, about 2 minutes. Using a wooden spoon, break up the sausage into smaller pieces, and cook until the sausage is cooked through, about 5 minutes. Set aside on a plate.
- Reduce the heat under the pot to low. Add the heavy cream and pesto. Stir gently to emulsify the mixture. Stir in the Parmesan, sundried tomato paste, and pepper. Add the pasta and sausage.
- Arrange the pasta on a plate. Serve with tomatoes and an herb sprig.
