Ingredients

Stromboli

  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 1 package pepperoni
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese, cut in half
  • 1 package sliced salami
  • ½ cup chopped roasted red peppers (50 g)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (100 g)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 jar pizza sauce, warmed

Garlic Butter

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove the pizza dough from the package and roll out on lightly floured surface.
  3. Arrange alternating rows of pepperoni, sliced mozzarella, and salami on top of the dough, leaving a 1½-inch (4-cm) border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the roasted red peppers, shredded mozzarella, red pepper flakes, and oregano on top.
  5. Starting from a short end, roll up the stromboli.
  6. Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  7. Brush the butter mixture all over the stromboli, then transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake the stromboli until golden brown, 15-20 minutes.
  9. Slice the stromboli crosswise and serve warm with the pizza sauce for dipping.
