Preparation

  1. Make sauce: In a pan add the guava paste, tomato paste, minced garlic, worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, lime juice, brown sugar, dijon mustard, water, salt and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened and reduced, about 12 to 15 minutes. It should have a thick consistency but still pourable to drizzle on the wings.
  2. Preheat the airfryer to 375 degrees. Add your cleaned chicken wings to a bowl then toss with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, dried oregano, ground ginger, chicken bouillon, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Place the wings in the basket of the preheated air fryer basket. Be sure not to over crowd. Cook thewings for 20 minutes, flip wings half way through, until crispy and internal temperature reaches 165˚F (74˚C).
  4. Toss wings in guava BBQ sauce garnish with scallions.
  5. Enjoy!
