Ingredients
for 1 serving
- 2 squares (2 ounces) white chocolates, melted
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 2 medium fresh strawberries, diced
- 2 scoops strawberry gelato or ice creams
- 1 whole strawberry, for garnish
- 1 teaspoon Freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 1 shot of brewed espresso, hot
Preparation
- Heat the white chocolate and coconut oil in a small pot over low heat, stirring with a spatula, until melted, about 3 minutes.
- Pour the melted white chocolate mixture into the bottom of a chilled dessert bowl. Top with the diced strawberries. Top with the strawberry gelato, and use a large spoon to smooth over the top.
- Spoon out a hole from the center of the gelato (about the size of a heaping tablespoon).
- Hold the whole strawberry in your hand. Using a small pairing knife and starting at the pointed tip of the strawberry, make slices down just before the knife reaches the stem, being sure not to cut through, then fan the strawberry out. Add to the side of the bowl.
- Arrange the freeze-dried strawberries on top of the gelato.
- Pour the espresso in the middle of the ice cream until it reaches the top.
- Enjoy!
