Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°(200°C)F. Line a muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a cutting board. Cut out 8 flower shapes using a 4-inch flower-shaped cookie cutter. Reroll the remaining dough from the cutouts, and cut 4 additional flower shapes.
  3. Place a puff pastry cutout in each paper liner. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden, or according to puff pastry package directions. Transfer the baked flower pastries in the muffin liners to a wire rack. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, stir together the cream cheese and 1 tablespoon of the strawberry jam in a bowl until combined to make strawberry cream cheese.
  5. Place the strawberry cream cheese and the remaining strawberry jam in separate piping bags, and pipe into the centers of the pastries. Alternatively, use a small spoon to add the fillings to the centers of the pastries.
  6. Sprinkle with a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
  7. Enjoy!
